Late Period, 664-332 BC. A glazed composition shabti with fine facial detailing, wearing a tripartite wig and plaited beard; the lower body and legs with hieroglyphic text reading 'Ptar son of Hathor'; the arms folded across the chest, with the crook and flail in the hands; undecorated pillar to the rear. 125 grams, 15cm (6"). From a Swedish private collection; formerly in the Dubois collection, Paris; acquired in the 1970s. Very fine condition.
