A large matched pair of gold earrings, each a hollow-formed hoop with hinged ends above a crescentic element, discoid cell to each broad face, rosette to each narrow end with nacre or glass fill, amphora-shaped body with securing straps and radiating cells, with rosettes between, collar with filled spherical cells, granules and sphere finial. 18 grams total, 62mm (2 1/2"). From an important London collection; acquired on the UK art market 1971-1974. [2] Fine condition.
