4th-5th century AD. A sheet silver hemispherical bowl with dimple base and rolled rim, parallel incised lines below the rim with two inscriptions 'TAKVIIC' and 'TAK?NIC', possibly something to do with the weight and quality of the bowl. 285 grams, 18.5cm diameter (7 1/4"). From the private collection of a Canadian gentleman; from his father's collection formed 1965 - 1990. Fine condition.
