A substantial bronze cross with triangular terminals to each arm pierced for attachment, fastened at the centre with a pin; inscription to one side ??? / ????CTO? to the vertical section, OIKOY / AYTOY horizontally, 'of all his household'; to the other side Y?? / EYXHC and a cross to the vertical part, ?IBN / ONIOY horizontally. 127.8 grams, 17cm (6 3/4"). Property of a Mayfair lady; formerly in an important London collection formed since 1965. Fine condition. Scarce.
