19th-16th century BC. A haematite cylinder seal with king with a mace facing the suppliant goddess Lama in a flounced robe; behind him is the nude goddess; behind the Lama on the right are the crescent moon above and below a dog with a crook on its head, the symbol of the god Amurru, the personification of the nomadic peoples of the desert, with base line. Cf. Collon, D. Catalogue of the Western Asiatic Seals in the British Museum.
