A chalcedony stamp seal with domed body; the underside engraved with a presentation scene: a seated god or king faces a robed figure holding forth a feline(?) in the right hand and an ibex in the left behind him; the god bearded, wearing a long garment with vertical pleats, draped over the right shoulder, the standing figure wearing a long robe with decorated trim and a rounded cap, his hair in a braid to the back. 65 grams, 41mm (1 1/2"). Property of a North London lady; gifted from her father's collection; formerly with a Mayfair gallery, London, UK; previously acquired in the 1980s. Fine condition.
