A bronze footed cup comprising a broad body with flared mouth, carinated gusseted rim to the shoulder, conical lower body, flared foot; lower body with three groups of three spiral bosses with hatched panel above, and between a repoussé profile fish with hatched detailing above a lemniscate (double loop) with punched pellets and hatched edges. 395 grams, 16cm (6 1/4"). Property of a London gentleman; previously acquired on the UK art market, 1990s. Fine condition, rim cracked.
