A rectangular carved schist panel depicting a figural group within a frame with scale detailing; the group comprising a reclining female(?) figure on a couch, standing male to the head of the couch armed with a staff or spear, central standing male figure in headdress and turban holding a bunch of fruit, two partial figures of attendants with a bridled mule or small horse; mounted on a custom-made stand. 5.8 kg, 36cm high including stand (14 1/4"). Property of a North London gentleman; acquired on the UK art market before 2000. Fine condition.
