A bronze dagger with leaf-shaped flat-section blade with midrib; hilt with flared lower guard, round-section grip and separate bulb finial with segment detailing; mounted on a custom-made stand. Cf. Khorasani, M.M. Arms and Armour from Iran. The Bronze Age to the End of the Qajar Period, Tübingen, 2006, figure 9 for type. 470 grams total, 24cm including stand (9 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; previously acquired on the UK art market, 1990s. Fine condition.
