A silver ingot, trapezoidal in plan with chamfered long edge; to one face, inscribed graffiti comprising a divided ring or theta (?) above a profile running 'stick-man' figure with lentoid eyes; inscribed to one side '? III' tally mark(?"). Cf. Thunmark-Nylén, L. Die Wikingerzeit Gotlands II: Typentafeln, Stockholm, 1998, pl.287, item 5. 11.7 grams, 29mm (1"). Property of a professional collector; acquired before 1990. Fine condition. Extremely rare.
