A rectangular wooden icon with runners to the reverse, painted scene within a polychrome border depicting a nimbate Christ with arms extended exuding beams of light among clouds with kneeling nimbate figures flanking (Moses and Elijah?), while below a nimbate figure (Jacob) reaches upwards towards Christ while two others rest on the ground with eyes averted. 4.7 kg, 69 x 39cm (27 x 15 1/2"). From a London collection; acquired in Dusseldorf, Germany, in the 1980s. Fine condition.
