A gold ring comprising two divergent square-section hoop joined at the underside, flat plaque with four biconical legs each with granulation to the equator, beaded wire collars and discoid cell with inset garnet cabochon. Cf. Chadour, A.B. Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 434 for type. 4.64 grams, 31mm overall, 16.82mm internal diameter (approximate size British M, USA 6 1/4, Europe 12.56, Japan 12) (1 1/4"). Property of a Richmond gentleman; part of his family collection formed before 1980; thence by descent. Fine condition.
