3rd century AD. A silver finger ring comprising a broad flat-section hoop with chamfered panels and hatching to the shoulders, raised discoid bezel with intaglio eagle with wings extended in an arc. Cf. Ruseva-Slokoska, L. Roman Jewellery, Sofia, 1991, item 207. 11 grams, 22mm overall, 18.53mm internal diameter (approximate size British Q 1/2, USA 8 1/4, Europe 18.12, Japan 17) (1").
