5th-7th century AD. A green-glazed ceramic lamp with squat body, large D-shaped nozzle, raised concentric rings to the discus, lug handle to the rear. 74 grams, 87mm (3 1/2"). Property of a UK gentleman; acquired from a London gallery in the late 1980s; formerly from a private European collection, formed in the 1960s and 1970s. Fine condition.
