A carved schist figure of a devotee with flowing hair and beard, hands pressed together at the chest in worship; mounted on a custom-made stand. 2.5 kg, 38.5cm including stand (15 1/2"). Property of a London Gandharan art collector, acquired in the late 1990s; formerly with various UK sources acquired by them since the 1960s. Fine condition.
