Japanese mixed metal teapot and mirror in wooden case. Teapot is hammer finished and ornamented with metal applique and etching to form floral motifs. Mirror made of polished metal with katsura leaves and inscription in raised relief on reverse, handle wrapped in bamboo. Wooden carrying case is lacquered on interior. Dimensions are: teapot measures 11 3/4 inches high with handle X 7 1/4 wide (diameter and spout), mirror measures 13 7/8 inches long X 9 1/2 inches diameter. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Teapot has surface wear and faint scratches to metal exterior, dirt residue on interior; back of mirror tarnished and some staining/ wear to handle wrapping, and lacquer peeling from case lid interior.
