A substantial blue glazed composition shabti fragment with ribbed tripartite wig, false beard, hands crossed on the chest, holding pick and hoe, horizontal band with the first line of the Book of the Dead hieroglyphic text; mounted on a custom-made stand. 557 grams, 22.5cm including stand (8 3/4"). Property of a Hampstead gentleman; from his family collection formed since the 1970s.
