A hollow-formed bronze patera handle with ribbed shank, pelta-shaped attachment panel, ropework collar and wolf-head finial with texture detailing, lentoid eyes, open mouth. See Rolland, H. Bronzes Antiques de Haute Provence, Paris, 1965 for type. 173 grams, 15cm (6"). From the Wilkinson collection, Nottinghamshire, formed since 1985; previously the property of a Norfolk gentleman before 2004.
