原藏家竞购于荣宝斋（济南）拍卖李山，1926年生于山东青岛。1958年毕业于浙江美术学院，师承潘天寿与傅抱石。1961年画作《天山月初升》陈列于北京人民大会堂。1973年作品在香港集古斋《中国近代名家收画展览》展出。1980年被选为南京美术协会副主席，同年电视专题片《画中诗--介绍李山的中国画》在全国播放。
