Square black lacquerwork box, its lid decorated with a design of flowering red Japanese apricot (kōbai) blossom in raised gold, silver and red takamakie-laquer. Inside sprinkled gold (nashiji). The lid shows at the inside a design depicting Mount Fuji in a landscape with a river and boats in raised sliver and gold takamakie-lacquer. The separate tray of the box has a design of trees and an owl in a pinetree.
