Purchased from 'Stone Science' Anglesey, 1995'; obsidian drill with collector's label 'Paleo-American Indian c.15,000 BC A long and slender drill point in obsidian. These were the ancient equivalent of the modern awl or needle & few survive unbroken due to the delicate nature of the shape. 45mm.
