A Christian silver paten with repoussé raised band, subsequently engraved on the reverse with a pagan goddess, probably Freya, with right hand raised and left hand on the abdomen, pendant to the chest and flared skirt, hatched object in the field; eastern European workmanship. 34 grams, 11.5cm (4 1/2").
