This Guangxu period vase has a tall and narrow circular foot, and a straight circular body. It’s neck concave’s at an angle from the base before curving outward to form the rim. There is a decorative red handle on either side of the vase, located at the top of the vases body. The front half of the vase is covered in a realistic illustration of two monkeys in their natural habitat. The monkeys appear crouching next to a stream. The tree they are beneath is depicted swirling up the neck of the vase. Blue translucent mountain tops are seen in the horizon. The back of the vase features an inscription written in black. It’s underside has a red marking. H: 9 in.(23 cm) Condition: This vase appears to be in excellent condition and does not have any signs of restoration or damage.
