A black glass tubular vessel, probably a container for kohl or other cosmetic substances, with spiral applied trail to the lower body, band of orange and teal zigzags, flared collar and cable-twist rim. Cf. similarly-made vessels in the Miho Museum, Kyoto, Japan. 27.9 grams, 76mm (3"). From the family collection of a Hampstead gentleman; formerly acquired in the 1980s.
