(3) art masks, including an African beaded Ghanaian mask and a pair of vellum theater masks: a) African beaded and worked metal face mask from Ghana, with two slit eyes surrounded by circular eye-lids of beaten brass; quadrants of mask feature metal beaten into relief with lizards and scorpions. Gaping, squared mouth and red, yellow, green beadwork around nose and eyes, cowry shells at ears; b) pair of painted vellum and paper mache masks with Asiatic features, handwritten inscription Mimi Levin on reverse. Dimensions are: a) 12 1/2 in (31.8 cm) diameter X 3 1/2 in (8.9 cm) deep; b) each mask measures 9 in (22.9 cm) tall X 6 in (15.2 cm) wide. All measurements are approximate.
