(3) carved wooden candelabra/ torchiere: a) tall wood and gilt candleholder or torchiere, three tiered circular base with ruffled edging, cloth wrapped stave with single, hand-stitched seam. The middle of the stave is decorated with three carved heads, brown haired and otherwise gilded. Top of stave has three carved volutes curling upward toward the candle mount; b) slender candlestick carved with multiple overlapping drummers and drums; c) candlestick painted green and yellow and red, with stem carved in shape of flower. Dimensions are: a) 60 in (152.4 cm) high X 11 in (27.9 cm) diameter at base; b) 12 in (30.5 cm) tall X 3 1/8 in (7.9 cm) diameter; c) 11 in (27.9 cm) tall X 5 1/8 in (13 cm) diameter. All measurements are approximate. Condition: a) base is chipped, particularly around edge. Fabric covering stave has faded in color (likely once red) and some tears, staining. Most of the gilding has worn or chipped away. One of the top volutes has broken off, metal nails visible at attachment point; b) surface wear and a small chip in the upper rim of well; c) paint quite faded, crack in base, candle wax remnants.
