18th Century walnut 'smoker's bow' corner armchair, later carved, the curved top rail with flower head terminals over two pierced 'rosette window' splats and three gun-barrelled supports, the serpentine-fronted drop-in seat on four carved cabriole legs and turned X-stretcher, 77cm across arms x 82.5cm high Condition: Later carving as catalogued. Minor crack to centre of top rail, plus general wear commensurate with age and use. Moulded back rails to seat are missing to one side. One spoke of one rosette roundel is depleted. Some replacements to cross grain moulding of seat front. Later drop-in seat covering. Allover colour and patina a little uneven, would benefit from renovation.
