提要：梦东禅师(1741-1811)，法名际醒，字彻悟，一字讷堂，号梦东。俗姓马,京东丰润县(今河北省丰润县)人。他早年参禅有悟,受粹如纯禅师印可,成为临济三十六世、磬山(天隐圆修)七世的嗣法门人。曾率众参禅,丕振宗风。后辍参禅,专修净业,并创建红螺山资福寺(今北京市怀柔区红螺寺)净土道场,对清朝中叶净土宗的弘扬做出重大贡献。其净土思想对后世影响深远。著有《梦东禅师遗集》等。
