A heavy Spanish sword with a gilt hilt, circa 1560 Sturdy, double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section. The upper third cut with double fullers and fine openwork. A dragon mark struck into the obverse of the blade. The Toledo proof mark and an illegible master's mark (fleur-de-lys below a crown) stamped on both sides of the sturdy ricasso. The iron swept hilt with heavy fire gilding (abraded in places). The grip with delicate gilt brass wire winding and Turk's heads. Length 109 cm. Condition: II Schwerer Degen mit vergoldetem Gefäß, Spanien, um 1560 Kräftige zweischneidige Klinge mit abgeflachtem Mittelgrat. Im oberen Drittel doppelt gekehlt und fein durchbrochen. Terzseitig auf der Klinge geschlagene Drachenmarke. Die kräftige Fehlschärfe mit beidseitig geschlagener Abnahmemarke von Toledo sowie ungedeuteter Meistermarke (Lilie unter Krone). Eisernes Spangengefäß mit schwerer Feuervergoldung (teils berieben). Hilze mit feiner Wicklung aus vergoldetem Messingdraht und Türkenbünden. Länge 109 cm.
