A pair of French bronze figures representing Dionysus and Nike, 19th century Patinated bronze. Dionysus is shown in slight contrapposto, leaning on a pillar, wearing a wreath of vine leaves. Raising a drinking bowl in his right hand, holding a grape in his left. The figure of Nike in a chiton, presenting the victor's wreath in her left hand. Both statues on square plinths. The pedestals in gilt bronze, richly decorated in relief. Height 42 and 40.5 cm respectively. Condition: I - II Condition Report: In good condition, Dionysus' pedestal is loose. Die Figur der Nike mit Chiton, in der linken Hand den Siegerkranz präsentierend. Jeweils auf quadratischen Plinthen. Reich reliefierte Sockel aus vergoldeter Bronze. Höhe 42 und 40,5 cm.
