A pair of French brûle-parfum vessels, 19th century A pair of brûle-parfum vessels in white porcelain on fire-gilt bronze bases with à jour lids. The handles at the sides in the shape of acanthus leaf rocailles, extending to the polychrome painted Hermes mascarons by means of cloth festoons. These float above round medallions with bas-reliefs depicting Romulus and Remus, among others. The walls of the scent vessels with floral openwork at the upper edge, embellished with golden highlights, these rubbed in places. Another relief band with tropaions and military equipment at the upper edge. Dimensions 39 x 24 x 18 cm. Condition: I - Condition: I - Ein Paar Brûle-Parfum, 19. Jhdt. Ein Paar Brûle-Parfum aus weißem Porzellan auf feuervergoldeten Bronzefüßen, mit Deckeln in Ajour Arbeit. Die seitlichen Handhaben sind in Form von Akanthusblatt-Rocaillen gestaltet und leiten über Tuchfestons zu den polychrom staffierten Hermes-Mascarons über. Diese schweben über runden Medaillons mit Bas-Reliefs, u.a. mit Darstellung von Romulus und Remus. Die Wandungen der Duftgefäße sind am oberen Rand blütenförmig durchbrochen gearbeitet und in Gold gehöht, welches stellenweise berieben ist.
