此底座以小叶紫檀雕刻而成。紫檀有许多种类，紫檀生长速度缓慢，5年才一年轮，要800年以上才能成材，硬度为木材之首，系称“帝王之木”，非一般木材所能比。中国古代认识和使用紫檀木始于东汉末期，晋代的崔豹《古今注》有记载，时称“紫檀木，出扶南，色紫，亦谓之紫檀”。整器造型精致，镂空雕刻花卉纹，雕琢手法精湛，纹饰精细，给人以厚重之感，颇具观赏性，自然之包浆更体现出其极高的收藏价值。底落“丙”字款。
