A gold earring comprising a round-section loop with raised ridge featuring applied granules and granule clusters at both ends, terminal consisting of granulated beads between ropework borders; bell-shaped pendant with ribbed tubular suspension loop, series of applied granulated beads of varying sizes, with smaller granules arranged into triangular and lozenge-shaped motifs and clusters of swirls, all between borders; below, a series of loops carrying truncated collared biconvex dangles, each with a ropework suspension loop and series of four discoid feet. 6.62 grams, 32mm (1 1/4"). Property of a London gentleman; formerly in the private collection of an English lady previously living in Oxford; acquired on the UK art market from the mid 1980s.
