Pair of antique, Persian Qajar dyn. period paintings. The 2 paintings are depicting a battle or duel scene on one side, on the other side fine Persian calligraphy. Miniature one is of rectangular form, the main scene created in mineral colors on paper, with gold and ink calligraphy. Gold leaf frame on both sides. Miniature 2 depicting the same battle scene with mineral colors, with an addition in ink and gold color. Calligraphy at the back is fine, with black ink over paper. Both are framed in old double glazed frames. Size : 1 -20x10 cm front, 18x27 cm back; 2-15x12 front, 21x15 back.
