Pair of antique, Persian Qajar dyn. period paintings. The 2 paintings are depicting court scenes. One depicting 5 officials in, what appears to be, a palace grounds. At the background: deer, pavilion and clouds, created with mineral colors, ink and gold leaf on paper. Above and under the main theme- calligraphy. at the back fine calligraphy bordered in gold leaf. The other, depicting another court scene, when 2 officials are sitting and conversing, 3 others are standing, 3 deer in a background and one deer created in ink, outside the borders of the main theme. Mineral colors, ink and gold leaf on paper. Fine calligraphy at the back. Both are framed in double glazed frame. Mack glaze cracked in number 1. Size : 1 -20x11.5 cm front, 25x17 cm back; 2-15x12.5 front, 21x15 back.
