Three Chinese underglaze blue and copper-red porcelain snuff bottles, 19th century, the first, painted with a camel and handler approaching a gate which reads 'Erligou', the base painted with an underglaze blue dragon, 7.5cm high, the second, painted with fourteen deer and two monkeys in a tree, the base with an underglaze blue mark, 9.4cm high, and the third, cylindrical, painted with figures in a bedroom, the base with a double circle, 7.7cm high (3) Provenance: Formerly in the collection of Lieutenant-Colonel and Mrs W B R Neave-Hill (1912-2000) and thence by descent. He and his wife Daphne had inherited a fine collection of Chinese porcelain from her grandfather. They were clients of Bluetts from 1953 until the 1970s.
