本品因造型纤细似柳叶，故有“柳叶瓶”之称；又因隽巧秀美宛如亭亭玉立之佳人，又称之为“美人肩”。所敷豇豆红釉，极厚润莹亮，色调淡雅宜人。器底挖足甚深，足外墙呈现一圈较宽的无釉涩胎，这是“柳叶瓶”显著的工艺特色之一。康熙一朝于众多豇豆红器皿之中，太白尊、镗锣洗常见，若论数量之稀少，当推柳叶瓶、蟠龙瓶等立件，故历来难求一见，故康熙朝之后多有幕制，此即为一例。
