An evocative and substantial sandstone carving of a group of three beast-headed demons crouched together, each with a human body and limbs surmounted by a dog-like head with pronounced ears, deep-set eyes, lolling tongue and elongated nose; the figure to left as viewed apparently feeding the centre demon and the one to the right holding a bone; of French workmanship. 48.6 kg, 50cm (19 3/4").
