From the private collection of a retired Suffolk gentleman. Little is known about Herennia Etruscilla, although her name suggests she was of noble Italian ancestry. She was assigned one of the six officinae of the Rome mint. Following the death of her husband, the empress was treated with honour by her husband's successor, although because Herennia survived, Gallus' own wife, Baebiana, was unable to assume imperial rank.
