Duvernet, an Art Deco bronze figure 'Oblivion' on a marble plinth c.1925, engraved signature 'Duvernet' on top of plinth Modelled and cast as the figure of a crouching woman holding an onyx cup (no cover), raised on a tapering marble plinth 48 cm high Bryan Catley, 'Art Deco and other Figures', Antique Collectors Club, Suffolk, 1978, p143 (similar figure illustrated on a different base with an openwork metal cover on the cup) Condition Report: Small split at the front of the arm (left hand side when you look at it) but not obvious from the top and another on the bottom of the back right foot that grows a little up the side. There are some losses to edges, most obviously on the front facing edges of vertical and horizontals elements, some scars and old marks and general wear in keeping with age and use. Some age separation to joins. There is a fine split across the pale wood inlay panel at the back but it isn't obvious. There is some white spotting on the underside. There is a single loss on one strand to rush on both back panels. There are some small chips to the wood of the seat on the corners. The seat rush looks to have been replaced at some point and there a few marks/stains on the rush but no splits or losses.
