An important North German Gothic bronze mortar, 1st half of the 15th centuryBronze with a beautiful age patina. The slightly conical body mounted on a spreading stand, the rim slightly reinforced. The barrel segmented by fine bands, a border of six vertical ribs on the lower third. Two upward-canted handles on the sides. A raised house symbol on the body.
