Mongol quivers contained arrows with several different types of arrowhead: poisoned arrows are known to be used and there is a specific reference to them in the accounts of the Mongol invasion of the Japan (1274 AD"). Other were fitted with incendiary material, other conceived to pierce cuirass and metallic protections, a result achieved by the powerful composite bow of the Mongols.
