A vellum Bible leaf, finely decorated, recto and verso each with two columns of forty-three ruled lines of Latin letter bâtarde script, one hundred and seventy-two lines total, script in the margins, the text illuminated with rich red, blue and gold pigments; held between two perspex plates. 139 grams, 15 x 21cm (6 x 8 1/4"). Property of an East Sussex, UK, teacher; formerly with a Suffolk, UK, dealer; previously from an English provincial auction house; accompanied by a Den of Antiquity illustrated certificate of authenticity. Condition Report Fine condition. A rare example of a leaf produced in Britain.
