A GROUP OF YELLOW-GROUND CANTON ENAMEL WARES19th centuryComprising: a pair of hat stands with quatrefoil apertures and butterflies among floral scrolls; a jar and cover with reserved decorations of ladies in a garden setting, citrus fruits and peonies and peaches; and a floral dishes with lotuses, peonies, prunus and chrysanthemums.The hat stands: 34cm (13 3/8in) high (5).For further information on this lot please visit theCondition Report: General signs of rub and wear with crazing and scratches to the enamels.The dish: restored rim to the exterior with visible cracks under UV light and spray agent covering almost 1/4 of the rim. The inside four reserves with black scroll are all retouched. Three retouched spots to the centre. With metal hanger.The jar: some enamels pulling and chips to the interior, showing the copper body. A dent with enamels missing just above the foot, approx. 2cm long. The knob on the cover got rusty and there are oxidation marks instead of the enamels next to it.The hat stands: heavy crazing to the enamel. One with traces of wax to the interior, a chipped enamel area to the bottom, retouched areas to the corners and the foot rim. The other with extensive retouched area to the bottom and foot rim and other smaller one to the corners.
