A PAIR OF HARDSTONE MODELS OF ORANGE TREES IN ENAMEL JARDINIERES19th centuryEach formed of mottled spinach green jade leaves and coral bead fruits, with turquoise pebbles resembling the soil, enclosed in a rectangular Canton enamel jardinière with reserved decorations of rams and birds on dense floral grounds.42cm (16 1/2in) high (2).For further information on this lot please visit theCondition Report: General signs of rub and wear.Some leaves re-hanged but only few missing. Some a bit loose but still attached. Nibbles to the edges.Coral beads with small scratches or tiny dents but mostly natural imperfections of the stone.Some turquoise pebbles of the soil are loose and not attached.Open cracks on the trunks structure.The jardinières with surface cracks to the enamels and one with missing enamels on one of the foot.Provenance: The Property of a LadyProvenance: Purchased from Mallet's in 1959 by repute.
