Ordinary Chondrite – LL5Southern Ural Region, RussiaOne hundred times brighter than the moon, the Chelyabinsk meteorite entered Earth's atmosphere over the Southern Ural region of Russia on February 15, 2013. Its origin was an approximately 20-meter near-Earth asteroid with an estimated speed of 19.16 kilometers per second. The main mass fell in the frozen Chebarkul Lake, forming a 7-meter hole in the ice. With an explosion releasing energy 26-33 times the energy released from the atomic bomb detonated at Hiroshima, the impact wave destroyed many windows and injured over 1,500 people. The present artifact is a broken window with glass fragments still intact, which was recovered after the Chelyabinsk energy blast. Measuring 20 x 13 1/2 x 2 in
