MARIANO SÁNCHEZ (Molina del Segura, 1967)"La ciudad seriada", 2002.Hand-coloured oil photograph.Signed and dated in the lower right corner, titled on the back.Measurements: 80 x 80 cm.The working method of Mariano Sánchez (Molina de Segura, 1967), starts with the physical recreation in his studio of mental scenarios which, after lighting and photographing in B/W, he transfers to photographic paper or canvas for later retouching in oil, a technique which in some of his works he complements with acrylics, anilines or chemical tackifiers.His images, hybrid between painting and photography, the rigorous elaboration of his compositions and his macerated and relatively scarce production give a very personal stamp to this author whose obsessions with transience and the fragility of being are manifested in works of marked personality throughout his career.
