Large emblazoned Chinese porcelain plate for export. Company of the Indies. Ch ien Lung period (1736-1795). The center of the plate is occupied by a coat of arms made up of two united ovals, one with a yellow background, the other blue, decorated respectively with a rampant lion and three golden ribbons. Surrounding the shield, European scrolls in iron red and white. Eaves painted in gold with four floral branches, peonies, chrysanthemums and wild flowers. Cavetus toured by spearhead.
