Bronze firegilt Nepal or Tibet , 15th century Dimensions: Height 12 cm Wide 11 cm Depth 7,5 cm Weight: 866 grams Seated Manjushri on lotus base with beaded rim, cross-legged and body creating an elegant curve from the hip. One hand is raised holding a bent sword, the other hand raised in front of the chest with thumb touching the ring finger. A flower growing on his left side and body adorned in jewellery with turquoise stone inlay. The face is serene and calm, high chignon decorated with a tiara, the back exposes the fine hairlines. The bronze is hollow.
