Bronze firegilt Tibet , 15th to 16th century Dimensions: Height 11 cm Wide 4 cm Depth 4 cm Weight: 161 grams Standing Buddha Maitreya on double reverse lotus base with beaded rims, dressed in a simple dhoti reaching above the ankles. One hand raised in front of the chest with thumb touching middle finger, the other hand is holding a ghanta bell. No jewellery attached, the broad face is smiling with closed eyes, elongated earlobes with holes frame the face. The curly head topped by another smaller Buddha head as top finial. Bronze is sealed.
